Christian Writing Competition Details

• Cup of Comfort will publish 40-50 inspirational Christian stories for women
• Cup of Comfort is looking for narrative personal essays (creative-nonfiction short stories) written by and for Christian women that reveal how one’s faith has provided (provides) insight, guidance, comfort, and joy in navigating one’s life. Other acceptable themes include: tests of faith; reconciling personal beliefs/behavior with those of church; impact of your ministries on others, you, your faith.
• Stories must be original, unpublished, true, and positive.
• Stories can focus on any of life’s challenges and/or blessings, and can be either serious or humorous or contain elements of both literay tones.
• Story Length: 750 to 1500 words.
• Submission Deadline: August 15, 2010.
• Finalist Notification: August 20, 2010.
• Compensation: $50 + copy of book, per published story.
• Updates on the book’s progress will be periodically posted on the Cup of Comfort Blog and in the Cup of Comfort News Forum, and in the Cup of Comfort® Community Bulletin (free bimonthly e-newsletter that you can subscribe to on the Cupofcomfort.com homepage).
