After years of warding off advocates against American obesity, the soda industry’s newest battle may be waged against cancer. Somehow, I’m not surprised. If you hadn’t already heard, the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI) petitioned the FDA to ban anything containing the “caramel coloring” in Coca-Cola and Pepsi (and other soft drinks) because it could cause cancer.
